21 Aug 2000 A former keyboardist for John Cougar Mellencamp, sex fugitive Erik Franklin Rosser arrested in Thailand on a variety of charges, including filming a videotape of himself and an eleven-year-old-girl.
Mar 2003 During divorce proceedings against ex-wife Sharon, Neil Bush admits accepting some free Asian poontang on several occasions during business trips. "In Thailand once, I have a pretty clear recollection that there was one time in Thailand and in Hong Kong." Neil claims that the women would knock on his hotel room door, walk in, and have sex with him. He never asked if they were prostitutes, and never paid them.
ATTORNEY: Mr. Bush, you have to admit it's a pretty remarkable thing for a man just to go to a hotel room door and open it and have a woman standing there and have sex with her.
NEIL BUSH: It was very unusual.
11 Aug 2003 The most-wanted man in Asia, al Qaeda terrorist Hambali arrested in Ayutthaya, the ancient capital. Thailand intends to claim the American reward of $4M for his capture.
2 Dec 2003 Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra declares victory in the War on Drugs. How was this victory achieved? By having the police kill 2,245 suspected drug dealers without trial, and without any legal proceedings whatsoever. Not a single individual has been prosecuted for any of these extrajudicial murders.
